That’s more like it, an 11–5 week to push us to 26–20–2 (57%) through three weeks. And these have been a weird three weeks to kick off the season, but I think the league is starting to make sense now. We’ll see…

After picking north of 60% against the spread for the entire NFL season (except for a few Thursday Night Football games), the playoffs have treated us even better. This blog is 8–2 against the spread in the playoffs, and 8–2 straight up as well.

If it weren’t for a novice-filled Round 1 bet taking Pittsburgh before the game was rescheduled for better weather, we’d be 9–1.

4–2 against the spread in the wildcard. 4–2 straight up in the wildcard. A really solid start that was highlighted by us knowing Green Bay was going win straight up days ahead of the rest of the football-watching world. Go us!

I went just 7–9 in Week 18, which is a totally fraudulent week to gamble on in hindsight, but that gave us 148 accurately picked NFL games this season against the spread against 243 total games. That’s nice and snug at 61% accuracy, let’s see how the playoffs treat us!

Across this season, we have wagered on 242 NFL games. Against those 242 games, we were right 62.4% of the time (against the spread). I’ll have fully updated stats heading into the playoffs, but if we end strong with this week, we’ll cross that coveted 63% threshold!

With just two weeks to go, we’ve hit 61.7% accuracy out of 227 NFL games betted on this season. I’d call that a win, especially when comparing our success to NFL Pick Experts. The top picker on there is more than 2% behind us, with the gap between us and him the equivalent gap between the 2nd and 10th-ranked pick experts. Let’s go!!!

We had an unprecedented 70+% accuracy streak for five weeks there, but we came back down to Earth with a week just under.500. The only issue is my worst week of the year (when I went 5–10–1 in Week 6) was when I was vacationing. Well, I’m vacationing again, holidays and all that. So this week and next, I will be writing these next to tons of sweets and other distractions. I will be better on vacation this time around though!

This has been a very difficult year to wager on, and yet, we’re north of 62% against the spread after another solid week (8–5–1).

Ladies and gentlemen — well, more like gambling degenerates and Faro ladies — we did it. We’re at 62.5% against the spread! In the last five weeks, we’re 50-for-69 (not including ties) against the spread!!! That’s 72.5%!!! I’m so elated, we’re absolutely cooking with the season crescendoing.

A 10–6 no byes week keeps this page above 60% heading into the home stretch. This is Week 13, so six more weeks to go!

Happy Turkey Day everyone! We’re approaching the final stretch, so I spent a little time breaking down our progress this year. Overall, these weekly write-ups are fielding a 60.6% accuracy rate (according to NFL Pick Watch that’s among the highest for against-the-spread game line bets). Straight up picks are hitting at a 63.8% clip.

Specifically, my “locks” are at 64.9% (with only 3 weeks of multiple locks missing), my “dice throws” are only 49.1%, and my “stay aways” are 66.7%. Go figure. But it’s why I do every game, sometimes the ones I’m least sure about are better than my most confident calls. Anyway, celebrate this year’s holiday with some good food and even better football. This year’s slate is solid thanks to the Lions being so fun.

Missing the last two Thursday Night games is lame, but look at us. We’re 19–8 over the last two weeks, putting us at 59.2% on the year. That 60% threshold is right there, let’s go grab it!

Apologies for the missed Thursday game, election coverage was too much this week. But in return, I’m going to get as many games up as I can today before my usual Saturday slate.

A 9–5 week puts us at 74–55–7 (57.4%) on the season, on to Week 10.

Treading water at our 57% mark with another pedestrian 8–6 week (with two pushes) only makes me hungrier for a couple of monster weeks to get us back above 60%.

Ok, we’re back on track with another >.500 week (albeit just 7–6 in Week 7), giving us five weeks above .500 and only two under. With no byes this week, we have plenty of games to dissect!

Alright, let’s chat a minute after a disastrous Week 6. I would love to blame my bad week (5–10 putting me at 50–38–5 [57%] on the season) on my vacation, but New England taking a safety, Seattle failing to score in the red zone on multiple tries, San Francisco folding to a former XFL QB, Justin Herbert having one of his worst games as a pro, and the Eagles collapsing on live TV were crucial in giving me my second sub-.500 week this year (first one was a mere 7–8–1). Let’s bounce back!

45–28–5 (62%) through five weeks and coming off a 9–4 week (with 1 push), let’s keep the good vibes going. I’m on vacation this week, but guess what, I’m not vacationing from this. This is too much fun. The picks will be here for Week 6!

36–24–4 through nearly the first quarter of the NFL season, I’m still logging every NFL game on here with a pick, even if it is a complete stay-away (looking at you TNF).

With a 27–18–3 start on picks through 3 weeks, let’s take what we’ve learned from this weird NFL season and get back on track after a pair of .500 weeks.

New Orleans belongs on the list of most fraudulent 2–0 teams of the year. 37 points scored in 2 games while New Orleans will be without a formidable running game for at least another week (Jamaal Williams is out and Alvin Kamara is on ice for one final week).

Aaron Jones and Christian Watson are still questionable as of this writing, but if they suit up, it’s an offense that can explode at any moment while supported by a defense that can fully contain Derek Carr.
