5–5 through the playoffs, it’s been a tough postseason to predict … at least for me. I went Baltimore instead of Buffalo, thought LAC would advance to at least Round 2, and had the NFC completely wrong, predicting a Lions v. Vikings rematch.

10–2 against the spread last postseason, we can still finish strong these final two football weeks.

We’re here after a 3–3 ATS and straight-up split last weekend. Two brutal losses by LAC and Minnesota that I didn’t see coming, plus rookie QB Jayden Daniels taking the seasoned Bucs to school. He’s the real deal and it was foolish to bet against him, maybe I overreact and overcorrect for it this weekend.

We finished 140–96–5 (59%) for the season with against-the-spread picks, skipping Week 18 because I never know what to do with that week. Straight-up picks? 66%, including 70.2% accuracy over the last seven weeks.

Not a bad season. I predicted 9/14 playoff teams earlier this offseason, and now its time to break down Wildcard Weekend!

A mediocre 8–7–1 week puts us at 131–89–5 on the year (60%). We’re pretty much locked in with the #s we’ve accomplished this season, but no reason not to finish strong with the penultimate week stretching across four different days this week.

With just three weeks to go, we’ve gotten 123 games against the spread right against 82 misses this season (4 ties), skipping just 1 week this whole season (Week 7). That puts us at 60% on the dot. Let’s get 10 or more right each week for the rest of the season!

As for just straight-up picks, we’re batting 68%, including a 73% mark since Week 6.

A middling 7–6 week puts us 113–76–4 (60%) against the spread, with four weeks remaining. Over the next month, we gotta crush these weeks because ain’t no way we’re finishing below 60%.

Last week’s 8–5 mark against the spread pushes us to 95–64 (0.600) on the year, with only two weeks where we lost more bets than we won. Let’s finish the season strong and get as close to 65% as possible!

I said we were going to have a double-digit week against the spread last week, and we went 10–4! Now at 87–59 (0.600) against the spread on the year, we’re going to keep the good vibes going during a bye-heavy slate.

Uuuugh, our first sub .500 week since Week 1, dropping our success rate for against-the-spread bets (143 games now) from 60% to 58%. Good thing this is a week where we’ll reach double digits in bets hit to bounce back.

We’re 71–47–4 (60.2%) with against the spread picks across 122 NFL games this season. Straight-up bets? 63.1% accuracy, including 80% over the last three weeks!

We’ve been north of .500 on against-the-spread picks each week this season sans Week 1 — and that was a 7–8–1 week.

We’re at 60.0% on the dot (63–42–4), but we also need a big week. Enough of this treading .500 stuff.

We’re still doing great at 55–35–4 (61.1%) against the spread through 7 weeks, and have a bye-less Week 8 to tackle. Let’s go!

We came back to Earth last week after a scorching three-week stretch that netted us 70+%, but we still finished above .500 for five weeks in a row, so let’s hang our hat on that as we look for another near-perfect week.

On the year, we are 54–35–3 (60.7%), and that’s picking every game. My ‘Locks’ are just 12–9 (57.1%), my ‘Dice Throws’ are merely 14–14 (.500), but my ‘Toughies’ (formerly ‘Stay Aways’) are a ridiculous 22–8 (73.3%).

As for straight-up victories, after a 12–2 week last week, we are at 58.7% accuracy.

We are on fire, simply put. 32–14 over the last three weeks (70%) pushes us to a grand total of 62% accuracy for the year. Not bad, considering all the whacky starts and devastating injuries in just a short period of time.

I'm sorry. I was visiting my mother earlier this week, so this blog is a little delayed. We are absolutely crushing it right now, going 22–10 in our last two weeks, so let’s keep the momentum going with a third straight 11+ win week.

That’s more like it, an 11–5 week to push us to 26–20–2 (57%) through three weeks. And these have been a weird three weeks to kick off the season, but I think the league is starting to make sense now. We’ll see…

15–15–2 through two weeks, we’re treading water and not drowning, but we’re capable of so much better. This number flips in our favor this week, lets go!

Ahhh! Tough start to 2024. 7–8–1 against the spread and 7–9 straight up. But it's Week 1, and we learned a lot of lessons; let's see if we can not only go above .500 but leave it in the rearview mirror for good.

One new thing I’m going to do is reveal how accurate I am betting in each section and for/against each team because I’m curious about what teams I’m struggling to figure out. I’ll drop those numbers once we get our sea legs going.
